GUIDELINES FOR SYMPOSIA, LECTURES AND ORAL COMMUNICATIONS SPEAKERS

In order to guarantee the respect of timing, Speakers are kindly requested to comply with the guidelines reported below.

  1. According to CME regulation, specific names of medicinal products should be avoided during CME sessions. Especially, only generic names (drugs, instruments, devices) are permitted and commercial names should not be reported even if they are not correlated to the topic presented. Furthermore, no sponsor can be indicated on the slides.
  2. Speakers are invited to leave their presentations on CD or USB (pen-drive) support, at the reference slide center within 24 hours to their own session. presentations can also be sent by e-mail at relatori@congressosif.org. Presentations of the 27th of October only can be left within 3 hours to the session beginning. Presentations will be pre-loaded on the integrated software with a timer and will be accessible from the podium of the proper conference room directly, clicking on the own name.
  3. Files should be in Power Point (.ppt or .pptx) format only and named as follows: Symposium code-Speaker name and Surname-date of the symposium (e.g. X10-marioBianchi-27ott).
  4. PC connection to projectors is not allowed. All the projections will be managed by a unique system, which provides to pre-load to the computer in the proper session room.
  5. Speakers are strongly encouraged to an absolute timing respect for their presentation. A timer will be visualised to control the time left.
    Presentations must absolutely finish at the scheduled time, so chairpersons are exhorted to respect also the session starting time.
    A hostess and/or a technical assistant will be in the conference room to assist Speakers for any problem or extemporary request.

GUIDELINES FOR CHAIRPERSONS

Chairpersons are strongly recommended to be present at the conference room at least 10 minutes before session start and, especially, to guarantee the respect of session and each presentation timing.

The presenting author is required to be available for discussion during the poster viewing session assigned (see details below):

Posters should be in English and dimensions should not exceed 160 cm in height and 90 cm in width. All poster boards will be pre-numbered and authors are needed to be certain to place their posters on the correct board.
Posters must be dismantled at the end of the same presentation session. Secretary will not keep posters not removed in the established times.

POSTER OR ORAL COMMUNICATION AWARDS

At the closing ceremony of the conference (October 30th, 2015), the best posters or oral communications presented by young (under 38) non-structured SiF members (up to date with SIF registration fee) will be announced and awarded.
We remind that in case of absence of the awarded authors, prizes will be assigned to authors immediately following in the ranking.
